Apricot symbolises Armenia and has been cultivated there since ancient times. So it is to no surprise, that its scientific name is Prunus armeniaca(Armenian plum). Our jams are produced with Shalakh apricots, which is a rare variety growing exclusively in the Ararat Valley nearby to Yerevan and has became the 1,000th passenger of Slow Food’s 'Ark of Taste'.
